Yes! We offer dog agility training near Cambridge. Our agility courses are perfect for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced dogs.

 

Where are your classes located?

Our training locations include:

Balsham Farm: 7 miles from Cambridge, 10 miles from Newmarket, 12 miles from Saffron Walden.

Barton Paddock: Located near Foxcotte Farm, Comberton Road.

What areas do you cover?

Our training facilities are conveniently located to serve dog owners in and around the Cambridge area, from our Balsham and Barton sites:

  • Balsham Farm: Situated about 7 miles from Cambridge, this location is within easy reach of nearby towns and villages such as Linton, Streetly End, and Weston Colville (all within a 2-3 mile radius). We also serve the surrounding regions, including Newmarket, Saffron Walden, and Haverhill.

  • Barton Paddock: Located near Comberton Road, Barton Paddock serves clients in the immediate villages like Comberton, Barton, and nearby Cambridge.

Our base on the Suffolk, Essex, and Cambridgeshire border allows us to cater to a wide area, from Bury St Edmunds to Haverhill, and beyond. 

What is dog agility training?

Dog agility is a sport activity where dogs complete obstacle courses, including jumps, tunnels, and weave poles. It helps improve their obedience, coordination, and bond with their handler.

 

Can I bring someone to watch?

Yes, spectators are welcome. However, we recommend that one person handles the dog throughout the course to prevent confusion. Any children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Is your dog training outside?

Yes, most of our training takes place outdoors, offering real-world scenarios similar to where you spend most of your week with your dog.

 

Is your training field enclosed?

We offer two venues:

  • Barton Paddock: Fully enclosed (in partnership with Positive Paws Dog Training).
  • Balsham Farm: A rural, private 8-acre space, though not enclosed.

Do you train dogs in the rain?

Yes, we train in rain. However, in extreme weather conditions, like heavy storms, sessions may be rescheduled for safety.

 

What happens if it’s too hot?

If the weather is too hot, we reschedule sessions to ensure your dog’s safety.

Can puppies join agility training?

Yes, puppy agility training is available to teach basic skills, helping puppies build confidence and stay appropriately active.

 

Are children allowed at agility training?

Yes, children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times for safety reasons.

 

What if I’ve never done agility training before?

Beginners are welcome! We offer introductory agility classes to teach both you and your dog the basics. You’ll start with simple sequences and gradually progress.
