How to become a member
These pay-as-you-go group classes are exclusively for those wanting to progress their agility skills after completing one of the following training options: Anglian Dog Works courses either in a group, in a block of private sessions* or demonstrated that level of ability one-to-one.Designed as a flexible follow-on training option, meaning you can drop in as much as you like but allows for time away when life gets busy! Spend time as often as you can with your dog mastering agility, improving obedience, and strengthening your bond so that you can take home a happy and satisfied dog by providing an outlet for their energy through mental and physical stimulation.
How they work
- These 1h standalone group sessions are tailored to the individuals who sign up and are designed to help dogs continue to progress.
-
Anglian Dog Works has two Dog Agility Training venues to choose from:
- The Farm at Balsham is located just off the A11, 7 miles from Cambridge, 10 miles from Newmarket, 12 miles from Saffron Walden, 25 miles from Bury St Edmunds.
- The enclosed Paddock at Barton is in partnership with Positive Paws Dog Training located near Foxcotte Farm, Comberton Road. During these sessions, we can use the adjacent areas so only one dog is loose in the agility field at one time if the individual needs space.
- Members training is held most weeks in Balsham and/or Barton; a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend classes on various days.
- Small groups of 3 to 6 dogs.
- The private link to the online calendar to browse and book these sessions is shared with members via email***
What to expect:
- Each week we run a different course. At Balsham sequences include a combination of jumps, tunnels and weaves; at Barton, we have an A-frame and see-saw too.
- To warm your dogs’ muscles up and learn the sequence, you will run short segments at a time. When all of the dogs have had a go at that level, we add a couple more obstacles to the following run.
- Each turn gives you a chance to practice the course; I will be there to offer support and guidance should you need it, as well as throw in challenges for those that want one!
- We progress in this way until we’re running the full course.
If you’ve any questions, please do get in touch.
