Dog Training FAQs

What can I expect from training?

After training, you will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to train your dog.

However achieving your training goals is dependent on many factors, such as how much time you dedicate to practicing the training between our sessions and your dog's prior learning history.

In our sessions you will be given clear instructions and the steps on how to continue your independent practice.

If you are unsure afterwards get in contact to seek clarification: summarise what you can remember in an email and your trainer will fill in any gaps from the lesson plan.

Do we train in the rain?

Yes we do train in all weather. If the event that the Met Office releases a weather warning, it will be reviewed if conditions are safe enough to train in.

If conditions are deemed unsafe by your trainer we may hold a remote session using Zoom instead of an in person meeting.

Do we train in the hot weather?

Yes we do train in warmer weather. PetPlans guidance will be referred to in reviewing if conditions are safe enough to train in with precautions. Click here to read Anglian Dog Works advice for keeping cool at class.
